Role Overview
The Ultra-heavy Motor Vehicle Driver position involves transporting goods safely between distribution points and client locations. The role supports FMCG supply chain operations by ensuring cargo is delivered efficiently while following safety and transport regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles before trips and ensure operational readiness.
- Operate ultra-heavy vehicles for goods distribution.
- Load, transport, and offload cargo at delivery points.
- Ensure cargo is secured before travel.
- Complete delivery documentation and reports.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and operational teams.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and housekeeping.
- Ensure vehicles are not overloaded according to transport regulations.
- Supervise or assist with cargo offloading.
- Open and close tarpaulins when required.
- Interact professionally with customers and delivery teams.

Skills and Requirements

- Understanding of vehicle inspection and defect reporting procedures.
- Knowledge of loading techniques and safety procedures.
- Experience working with dry bulk tankers is advantageous.
