Key details:
Minimum qualifications: Grade 12 with Mathematics & Science (or relevant NTC2/NQF Level 4 certificate), proof of qualifications, four subjects including Maths, Engineering Science, relevant Trade Theory & Engineering Drawing (≥40% in Maths & Science), and a Medical Certificate of fitness for mines.
Training: Conducted through SETA-accredited providers; maximum 36-month contract.
Selection: Applicants must be signed off by the Mine Engineer; process includes shortlisting, psychometric assessment & panel interview.
