The Valterra Platinum Cadet Process Learner programme is an entry-level opportunity designed to give candidates practical exposure in mining and processing operations. This role focuses on developing technical skills, safety awareness, and operational knowledge in a real plant environment.
Learners will work closely with supervisors and teams while gaining hands-on experience in a high-performance mining setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate equipment such as valves and sampling systems
- Assist with daily plant and processing operations
- Perform inspections on plant equipment
- Follow safety procedures and report hazards
- Assist team members with operational tasks
- Maintain housekeeping standards
- Participate in safety meetings
- Complete operational logs and reports

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 with English, Mathematics (not Maths Literacy), and Physical Science
- Minimum 40% in each required subject
- South African citizen
- Valid medical certificate of fitness
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Good communication skills
- Must pass psychometric assessments
- Valid driver’s license (advantageous)
