Position Title: Engineering Learnership Opportunity
Opportunity: External candidates can obtain a Trade Certificate in one of the following:
Engineering Fitter
Boilermaker
Electrician
Diesel Mechanic
Instrumentation
Auto Electrical
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Grade 12 Certificate with Mathematics and Science, or NTC 2 Certificate or higher, or Level 4 NCV Certificate from a FET College.
Minimum 40% in Mathematics and Science.
Required subjects: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Relevant Trade Theory, and Engineering Drawing.
Proof of qualifications must be attached and authenticated.
Must obtain a Medical Certificate of fitness for mines.
Engineering experience/operative work is an advantage.
Training:
Conducted through SETA Accredited Training Providers.
Contracted training period is a maximum of 36 months.
Selection Procedure:
All applications must be signed and approved by a recognized Tribal Structure.
Shortlisting based on minimum requirements.
Psychometric assessment.
Panel interview.
Final selection will consider Mining Charter objectives.
Number of candidates per Tribal Structure is based on Samancor’s Labour Plan commitments.
