About the Role
The IT Governance Head role is a senior leadership position responsible for developing and maintaining governance frameworks that ensure IT systems remain secure, compliant, and aligned with business strategy. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and standards
- Ensure governance processes are integrated into daily IT operations
- Work with internal audit teams and IT risk specialists on compliance findings
- Monitor regulatory developments affecting IT systems
- Implement automated governance monitoring systems
- Identify governance gaps and coordinate remediation strategies
- Evaluate risks within technology systems and recommend improvements
- Provide governance reporting to executive leadership
- Support alignment with frameworks such as COBIT and ITIL
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in:
- Information Technology
- Computer Science
- Information Systems or related field
- Extensive experience in IT governance, technology risk, or enterprise IT operations
- Strong knowledge of COBIT and ITIL frameworks
- Experience with regulatory compliance in financial services
- Knowledge of modern IT environments including cloud infrastructure and enterprise systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders and regulatory bodies
