IT Officer position at AgriSETA

responsibilities split into:

  1. Service Management:
    • MS Exchange Online administration.
    • Applying ITIL disciplines (Incident, Problem & Change Management).
    • Day‑to‑day system admin of internal network, VPN, Microsoft Active Directory (AD) / Azure AD, and backups.
    • Ensuring cyber‑security compliance.
    • Handling escalations, SLA meetings, and documenting system changes.
  2. Governance & Compliance:
    • Maintaining ICT registers and ensuring policy compliance.
    • Assisting with audit information gathering.
  3. Contacts: Interaction with all internal departments and external service providers.

Minimum qualifications & experience:

  • NQF Level 6 in Information Technology.
  • Certifications: COBIT, N+, A+; ITIL (advantage: Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician).
  • 3 years experience as an IT Technician/Desktop Support.

Required competencies:

  • Windows 11, network troubleshooting, MS Active Directory & Exchange Online.
  • Network router & printer setup, LAN config & troubleshooting.
  • Onsite & cloud backups, corporate anti‑virus.
  • Microsoft Office 365 & Cloud services.
