Job Overview
- Dayshift Controller role in logistics operations
- Responsible for coordinating drivers, vehicles, and deliveries
- Ensures smooth, timely, and accurate transport operations
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned drivers and vehicles
- Plan and coordinate deliveries end-to-end
- Communicate with drivers, staff, and management
- Load vehicles according to allocation
- Track vehicles and ensure on-time delivery
- Handle breakdown reporting and follow-ups
- Manage PODs (proof of delivery) daily
- Maintain logs, diesel records, trip sheets, and Keyfleet system
- Resolve operational issues quickly
- Provide regular updates to management
- Support continuous operational improvement
- Manage driver equipment and stock
- Perform ad-hoc administrative tasks
Requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Good organisational and planning ability
- Ability to manage pressure and deadlines
- Experience in logistics (advantage)
- Computer literacy (advantage for tracking systems)
