Job Overview
- Provide IT support to users across campus
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Install and maintain IT equipment
- Support daily IT operations and service desk activities
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Respond to and prioritise IT support requests
- Log and track incidents using service desk systems
- Diagnose and resolve user issues
- Escalate complex problems to senior support staff
Hardware & Software Support
- Install desktops, laptops, and authorised software
- Set up hardware (monitors, printers, keyboards, etc.)
- Support boardroom and video conferencing equipment
- Conduct regular system and equipment testing
Administrative Duties
- Liaise with service providers for repairs and maintenance
- Maintain IT asset register (hardware & software)
- Manage software licensing records
- Ensure IT rooms and storage areas are clean and safe
Requirements
Qualifications
- Higher Certificate (NQF Level 5) / A+ / N+
- IT Diploma
- 12-month internship
Experience
- 2 years’ work experience preferred
