Job Overview

  • Provide IT support to users across campus
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Install and maintain IT equipment
  • Support daily IT operations and service desk activities

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support

  • Respond to and prioritise IT support requests
  • Log and track incidents using service desk systems
  • Diagnose and resolve user issues
  • Escalate complex problems to senior support staff

Hardware & Software Support

  • Install desktops, laptops, and authorised software
  • Set up hardware (monitors, printers, keyboards, etc.)
  • Support boardroom and video conferencing equipment
  • Conduct regular system and equipment testing

Administrative Duties

  • Liaise with service providers for repairs and maintenance
  • Maintain IT asset register (hardware & software)
  • Manage software licensing records
  • Ensure IT rooms and storage areas are clean and safe

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Higher Certificate (NQF Level 5) / A+ / N+
  • IT Diploma
  • 12-month internship

Experience

  • 2 years’ work experience preferred
