Job Overview
- Perform general maintenance and repairs in hospital facilities
- Ensure buildings, equipment, and grounds are in good condition
- Support safe and efficient facility operations
- Work within a healthcare environment maintaining high standards
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct minor repairs (doors, windows, light bulbs, switches, sockets)
- Perform basic plumbing tasks (fix leaks, unclog drains, repair toilets)
- Inspect electrical wiring and control panels
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests
- Assist with inspections of equipment and building systems
- Support audits and maintenance reporting
- Monitor costs and assist with expense control
- Provide updates and reports to the Technical Manager
Requirements
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Engineering N3
Experience
- General maintenance experience
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
