Position: General Assistant – Healthcare

Key Duties
Assist cooks and chefs with food preparation
Serve food to patients or staff in the canteen/healthcare environment
Operate cash register when required
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, canteen, and serving areas
Stock and clean serving lines
Store and record leftover food items
Ensure hygiene, health, and safety standards are followed
Support general kitchen operations and customer service
Assist with training of new staff when needed
Report and respond to customer complaints or feedback
Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
Must be 18 years or older
Minimum Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)
Good personal hygiene standards
Ability to work long hours (45–50 hours per week)
Physically fit (able to stand, bend, and lift)
No allergies to foods or cleaning chemicals
