Job Overview
- Provide psychosocial support services under supervision of a Social Worker
- Work within HIV & TB care and treatment programmes
- Support vulnerable communities and high-risk groups
- Assist with community-based health and social interventions
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and household profiling
- Provide basic community care and referrals
- Support social workers with patient and family needs
- Assist with youth care programmes and advocacy work
- Coordinate referrals to social and health services
- Maintain accurate records and submit monthly reports
- Engage with stakeholders and community networks
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Certificate in Social Auxiliary Work
- Registered with SACSSP
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience
- Valid Code 8 driver’s licence
- Computer literate (MS Office advantage)
- Clear criminal record
- Proficiency in English and isiXhosa
