Job Title: Optic Fibre Splicing Assistant Technician

About the Role
We are seeking an Optic Fibre Splicing Assistant Technician to join our growing team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will assist with fibre installations, maintenance, fault finding, and network repairs while supporting senior technicians in delivering high-quality service to customers.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist with fibre optic splicing, installations, and maintenance activities.
• Support fault finding and repair of fibre network issues.
• Perform field work and travel to various sites as required.
• Assist with testing and documenting fibre network installations.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and vehicles are maintained in good condition.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
• Participate in standby shifts on a rotational basis.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with team members and clients.

Minimum Requirements
• 1–3 years of experience in the ISP or FNO industry.
• Previous experience in a similar field-based technical role.
• Matric certificate (Grade 12).
• Valid South African driver’s licence.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Willingness to work standby shifts and after-hours when required.

Salary
R10,000 – R15,000 per month, depending on relevant experience, excluding standby allowance.

Preference
Preference will be given to candidates who are currently residing in the Western Cape.

Eligibility
