Job Summary

MegChem is seeking a Technical Clerk to support administrative and project-related functions within a technical and engineering environment. The role focuses on document control, data management, and coordination of administrative processes within projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong administrative experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work with technical documents in a fast-paced project environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Organise and coordinate meetings, including agendas and minute-taking
  • Manage tenders and new enquiries
  • Assist with purchase orders, invoicing, and forecasting
  • Handle document management and filing systems
  • Capture and manage data for reporting and quality measurements
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and inspection authorities
  • Perform general office administration duties
  • Support project administration and communication processes

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in office administration (project environment)
  • Experience in petrochemical or engineering environment (advantage)
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Power BI
  • Experience working with engineering documents (MDRs, P&IDs, ISO drawings, etc.)
  • Ability to manage and present data accurately
  • Valid driver’s licence (Code B/EB) with own transport
  • Strong communication skills in English
