Role Overview

This learnership is a structured training programme that gives you real workplace experience in customer support and fintech operations. You will learn how to assist customers with money transfers, support queries, and use digital customer service systems while developing professional communication skills.


Key Responsibilities

📞 Customer Support

  • Assist customers via phone and digital platforms
  • Help with money transfer orders and account queries
  • Provide accurate information about Mukuru services
  • Resolve customer issues or escalate when needed

💻 Systems & Operations

  • Use systems like Zendesk for ticket management
  • Support customer onboarding and account creation
  • Follow compliance processes (e.g. FICA requirements)
  • Track and update customer interactions

🤝 Customer Experience

  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • Understand customer needs and provide solutions
  • Follow up on queries and ensure resolution
  • Support customers end-to-end

📈 Skills Development

  • Improve communication and problem-solving skills
  • Learn time management and multitasking
  • Work in a fast-paced contact centre environment
  • Build confidence in professional communication

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
  • Good English communication skills
  • Ability to speak English + one additional language (advantageous languages listed include Sotho, Shona, Urdu, Mandarin, etc.)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Passion for customer service

Advantageous Experience

  • Any customer service or call centre exposure
  • Experience dealing with people or customers (even informal work)
