Programme Overview
Pele Energy Group is offering a Finance Graduate in Training opportunity for a recent graduate to gain practical experience in financial operations. The role supports the Finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks, financial record keeping, and transaction processing across multiple group companies.
This is a hands-on role designed to develop strong foundational skills in accounting, reporting, and financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
Creditors (Accounts Payable)
- Manage supplier and creditors relationships
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and proof of payments
- Maintain creditor master data
- Prepare monthly creditor payment lists
- Load creditor payments across group companies
- Monitor creditor age analysis
- Assist with supplier onboarding
- File and organize financial documentation
Debtors (Accounts Receivable)
- Manage debtor relationships and communications
- Prepare invoices using Sage
- Follow up on outstanding payments
- Maintain debtor master data
- Monitor debtor age analysis
- Handle overdue account communication
- Maintain debtor records and accounts
Banking & Data Capturing
- Prepare and process bank imports
- Maintain bank account records for group companies
- Download and file bank statements
- Assist with opening and closing bank accounts
- Support FICA and KYC compliance processes
General Finance Support
- Assist with management reporting and ad hoc financial requests
- Prepare journal entries
- Support audit processes
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
- Maintain statutory reporting requirements
Minimum Requirements
- BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge
