Job Summary
RCL FOODS is seeking a SHER Administrator to support the Safety, Health, Environment, and Risk (SHER) systems within the organisation. The role is based in Pretoria West and reports to the Risk Control Officer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining SHE systems, ensuring compliance with legal and ISO standards, and supporting accurate data management, reporting, and audit processes within a food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain SHE administrative systems and compliance trackers
- Capture, update, and verify SHE data including incidents, inspections, and corrective actions
- Manage SHEQX system administration, uploads, audits, and NCR closure tracking
- Coordinate SHE training, inductions, and certification tracking
- Record and monitor incidents, near misses, injuries, and safety deviations
- Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 internal audits and compliance processes
- Maintain legal registers, certificates, inspections, and calibration records
- Compile SHE reports, KPIs, and trend analysis for management
- Support SHE communication activities such as notices, meetings, and campaigns
- Assist with risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- National Diploma in Safety Management (required)
- BTech in SHE or related technical field (advantage)
- SAMTRAC or equivalent (advantage)
- Training in FSSC 22000, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 (advantage)
- Internal audit training (advantage)
- 2–3 years SHEQ administration experience
- Knowledge of OHS Act, COIDA, and NEMA legislation
- Understanding of HACCP and GMP principles
- Experience in food manufacturing environment (advantage)
- Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP
