Job Summary
This role is responsible for providing IT technical support to end-users across multiple sites within the Eastern Cape. The Information Technology Technician ensures that hardware, software, networks, and IT systems operate efficiently and remain fully supported.
The position involves both onsite and remote support, with frequent travel required between sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide desktop and laptop support for HP and Dell devices
- Support Windows 11 and Microsoft Office 365 environments
- Manage Microsoft Intune and mobile device support (iOS and Android)
- Support printers including Konica and Lexmark devices
- Assist with site server control and maintenance
- Provide network and WAN management support
- Monitor IT systems and compile performance reports
- Support access control systems
- Manage IT assets and inventory tracking
- Liaise with suppliers for IT procurement needs
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and SLAs
- Provide technical troubleshooting and user support
Requirements
- Grade 12 / High School qualification
- Microsoft MS-900 certification
- CompTIA A+ or equivalent qualification
- CompTIA Network+ certification
- Minimum 3 years IT support experience
- Experience in customer service environment
- Knowledge of WAN and LAN networking
Technical Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of Windows 11 environments
- Microsoft Office 365 administration and support
- Android and iOS device support
- Networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs
- Firewall and VPN fundamentals
- Fortinet or NSE experience (advantage)
- Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills
